EU execs pay courtesy visit to heads of DOST, PhilSA
THE Ambassador of the European Union (EU) Delegation to the Philippines H.E. Luc Véron together with Mr. Mario Ronconi, Head of Unit for South and South-East Asia from the European Commission Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG-INTPA) paid a courtesy visit to DOST Secretary Dr. Renato Solidum, Jr. and Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) Director General Dr. Joel Joseph Marciano, Jr. on 22 November 2022 at the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) headquarters in Bicutan, Taguig City.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the ongoing Philippines-EU cooperation on Copernicus space programme for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, as well as exchanged views on potential future cooperation on digital connectivity, circular and green economy, health, environment, including maritime S&T cooperation.
The meeting reaffirmed PH-EU’s shared commitment, goals and aspirations toward a sustainable future anchored on science, technology, research and innovation.
