
Estomo new Bicol police director
ERSTWHILE Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping director, Brigadier General Jonnel E. Estomo was named as new Police Regional Office (PRO) 5 director in Bicol region by Philippine National Police chief, General Debold M. Sinas.
A member of Philippine Military Academy ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ Class of 1992, Estomo will replace Brig. Gen. Bartolome R. Bustamante of PMA ‘Makatao’ Class of 1989 who will be the new PNP Director for Human Resource and Doctrine Development, a position that will earn the latter his 2nd-star.
Estomo will be replaced as new PNP-AKG director by Colonel Rudolph B. Dimas while Col. Allan C. Nobleza was designated as the new Deputy Regional Director for Administration of the PRO6 in Western Visayas. Both officials are graduates of PNP Academy.
Sinas congratulated Estomo for successfully leading the PNP-AKG since July 2019 and leading the unit in its outstanding campaign to curb kidnapping-for-ransom cases in the country while going all-out in the campaign against most wanted persons.
He became the third member of PMA Class 1992 to become a police regional director, the first being Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat Jr. of the PRO13 in Caraga region and Brig. Gen. Ronald O. Lee of the Cordillera police regional office.
Dimas used to be the Deputy Regional Director for Operations of PRO-Calabarzon before he was recently transferred to the PRO6 as its No. 2 official. Both Dimas and Nobleza will earn their star-rank with their new positions.
