EPD’s weeklong operations haul P10-M worth of illegal drugs
THE Eastern Police District (EPD) intensified operations against illegal drugs which resulted in the confiscation of more than P10 million worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 14 most wanted persons in a weeklong operation in the eastern part of Metro Manila.
Operations from November 2 to 8, EPD’s anti-drug efforts led to the confiscation of 21.6 grams of Marijuana, five kilograms of high-grade Marijuana (KUSH), and 512 grams of shabu with a total street value of P10,993,491.
A total of 63 suspects were apprehended, marking a record-breaking success under the leadership of PCol. Villamor Q. Tuliao, EPD Officer-in-Charge.
” The EPD is determined to combat the proliferation of illegal drug operations in the Metro East with its intensified campaigns against drug dealers, including high-value individuals, and the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs,” Col Tuliao said.
Meanwhile ,14 Top Most Wanted individuals, four Most Wanted persons, and 34 others wanted for various serious crimes were also arrested during the operations.
The EPD said community involvement and support were vital to the operation’s success, with support groups actively participating.
