EPD leads Solidarity Pact signing for peaceful elections

THE Eastern Police District (EPD) recently led the signing of the Solidarity Pact as part of the Philippine National Police (PNP’s) campaign to promote a peaceful, orderly and safe May midterm elections.

The event held at the EPD Multi-purpose on Caruncho Ave., Barangay Malinao, Pasig City, was presided over by Atty. Felton C. Sadang, chairman of the District Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Council (DJPSCC) as guest of honor and speaker with acting National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) PBGen Anthony Aberin.

One of the highlights of the activity was the swearing of each participant as proof of their support followed by the historic solidarity pact signing as a sign of their faithful adherence to the peace agreement.

Representatives from various government agencies reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and order during the election, especially strengthening the campaign against vote-buying and vote-selling for a clean and honest election.

Aberin stressed the importance of strict security surveillance of the NCRPO personnel under its mantra “AAA” or being “Able, Active and Allied”.

Among those who participated in the event were leaders and representatives from the PNP, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Election (COMELEC), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Metropolitan’s National Development Authority (MMDA), Metropolitan’s National Development Authority (MMDA), National Development Authority (MMD) (NAMFREL), in the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
