
EPD hauls P23M worth of illegal drugs in 3 months
THE Eastern Police District ( EPD) under the leadership of Acting District Director PCol. Villamor Tuliao relentless anti-drug operations have recorded the arrest of 531 drug suspects with the confiscation of more than P23 million worth of illegal drugs in his first 100 days in office.
PCol. Tuliao said, EPD conducted 367 anti- drugs operations which led to the arrest of 531 suspects and the confiscation of 2,363 grams of shabu, 108 grams of marijuana, and 5,807 grams of kush, for a total standard drug price of P 23,995,693.20
The EPD chief gave his full commitment and dedication to achieve a peaceful and progressive Metro East and was stirred by his effective leadership and strong determination to reach commendable accomplishments in line with the directives of PBGen Anthony Aberin, Acting Regional Director, NCRPO bearing his “AAA” framework stand for being “Able, Active and Allied” Policeman.
PCol . Tuliao was an honored and proud member of Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) “KAAGAPAY” Class of 1996 wherein he honed his desire for exceptional leadership and service-oriented capability.
From October 19, 2024 to January 27, 2025, Team EPD PaMaMariSan comprising the four cities of Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina and San Juan strengthened police presence in the community through regular conduct of police omnipresence. Adapting the “Tech Based Policing System” enables more innovative and new ways to enhance law enforcement operations in the fight against criminality, illegal drugs, and other forms of lawlessness.
Team PAMAMARISAN deployed 1,461 Police Officers throughout the Metro East and provided security coverage in cemeteries and columbaries and to render patrol duties and police visibility in concentrated areas during observance of All Saints and All Souls Day which resulted in zero untoward incidents.
During the celebration of the yuletide season, the EPD chief was at the frontlines to ensure its peace and security, effective ban on the use of and sale of prohibited firecrackers and explosives were strictly implemented.
To date, EPD remains at the top of NCR with 83 out of 94 barangays in the metro east being drug-cleared, or 88 percent, with the cities of Pasig and San Juan being declared as 100 percent drug-cleared.
Leading the curve, PCol. Tuliao doubled down on EPD’s manhunt operations, making sure that no individuals suspected of committing a crime is at large. Thus, EPD have recorded the arrest of 66 top most wanted persons, 49 most wanted persons, and 409 other wanted persons, for a total of 521. This is 65% higher than last year within the same period.
Most notable is the arrest of Marcel Wenong Tezok, a Cameroonian citizen suspected of having committed the crime of Estafa, he was arrested on October 24, 2024 at Aqua residences, Brgy. Hulo, Mandaluyong City.
