Manong Chavit leads E-jeep launch in Pasig

PASIG City became a beacon of innovation as Filipino and South Korean leaders came together to inaugurate the e-Mobility Proof of Concepts, showcasing the e-jeepneys that will pave the way for modern public transportation.

This event was organized by senatorial candidate Luis “Manong Chavit” Singson, who is also the LCSC Group chairperson, along with Ako Ilocano Ako Partylist Representative Richelle Singson.

Joining the inauguration were e-mobility trailblazers such as Young-Jin Joo, CEO of E-Mon Co. Korea; Jong Gwan Rah, Director of the Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH); Ahn Jae-Bum, Director of E-Mon Korea; and LCSC E-Mon Operations Manager Jinhee Kim.

In his speech, Manong Chavit shared his vision of modernizing the country’s public transportation system through electric vehicles.

“This will mark the beginning of a sustainable and innovative future for our country,” said Manong Chavit, who is Number 58 on the Senate ballot.

“Through electric jeepneys, we will not only help our fellow countrymen but also contribute to our environment,” he added.

Rep. Singson expressed his support for Manong Chavit’s initiative.

“This initiative is a testament to how cooperation can address urban mobility challenges. Your work sets a benchmark for innovation and sustainability,” said the congressman.

Jong Gwan Rah explained the technical aspects, his insights into Micro-EVs, proof-of-concept processes, and their desire to achieve fair and sustainable mobility.

“Our goal is to promote fairness and innovation in the future of transportation, ensuring these advancements benefit all sectors of society,” said Rah.

The inauguration highlighted electric jeepneys with modern designs and eco-friendly features.

According to Manong Chavit, this will be the answer to urban mobility problems and will also help reduce carbon emissions, which will support a sustainable public transport system in the country.

Furthermore, he stated that this will also pave the way for the Philippines to lead as a nation with sustainable transportation innovation.

“Let us work together to achieve a sustainable future for all,” said Manong Chavit.
