AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) late night Friday raided a condominium unit in Mandaluyong City where they confiscated a huge volume of the designer drug called Ecstasy and cocaine, PDEA chair Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva said.

The PDEA chief said that arrested during the anti-narcotics operation at Unit 3109 of Tower 1, Sunshine 100 condominium located along Pioneer corner Sheridan Streets in Barangay Buayang Bato, Mandaluyong City were Corine Alegre, 41; and Carlo Jorge Reyes, 38.

Villanueva said that past 10 p.m. Friday, an undercover officer from the PDEA National Capital Region Office managed to buy drugs from the suspects. Shortly after the sting was consummated, officers stormed the suspects’ condo unit.

Recovered inside were 119 pieces of suspected Ecstacy tablets, some 30 grams of suspected cocaine, about 45ml of suspected opioid, a bottle containing suspected GBL, two pieces of suspected cannabis oil cartridge, a gram of suspected ketamine, five grams of suspected Molly, 10 glass droppers containing suspected residue of liquid ecstasy and various drug paraphernalia.

The boodle money topped by a marked P1,000 bill was also confiscated from the possession of the suspects who were both reported to be jobless.

The operation was conducted by the PDEA in coordination with the Mandaluyong City Police Station.

Villanueva said that the two suspects will be facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
