Ecija woman nabbed for estafa

Camp Olivas City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A 48-year-old woman wanted for estafa was arrested on Friday in Nueva Ecija.

In a report to Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, acting Nueva Ecija police commander Col. Jaime Santos identified the suspect as Cristina dela Cruz of Purok 7, Cawayan Bugtong, Guimba, Nueva Ecija, who was nabbed in a manhunt in Bgy. Kapitan Pepe, Cabanatuan City.

Dela Cruz was arrested based on a warrant issued by a court in Guimba, Nueva Ecija for seven counts of estafa.

Meanwhile, a member of the New People’s Army on Friday surrendered in Camiling, Tarlac.

In a report to De Leon, Tarlac police commander Col. Renante Cabico said military and the San Jose municipal police facilitated the surrender of “Ka Dilmar,” a member of Militiang Bayan under KLG 1 Tar-Zam operating in San Jose, Tarlac, who turned over a .30 M1 Garand rifle, one ammunition clip and 10 live bullets.
