Ecija subdivision placed under 15-day granular lockdown

STA. ROSA, Nueva Ecija — A subdivision in this town was placed under a 15-day granular lockdown after over 41 residents were positive or suspected to be infected with COVID-19.

The municipal government headed by Mayor Josefino “Otep” Angeles ordered the granular lockdown on Santa Rosa Homes Subdivision in Bgy. Lourdes effective Sept. 20 until October 4, 2021.

A COVID-19 case bulletin seen hanging on the subdivision’s front gates showed that as of Sept. 18, it has recorded a total of 41 active cases with another 16 cases of antigen positives and one death.

Under his executive order, Angeles said nobody shall enter or be allowed to leave the affected area during the 15-day lockdown period.

Angeles added residents will only be allowed to go out and return to their homes during medical emergencies, when going to the hospitals or when have to see a physician.

Those working in private and public entities are allowed to go out but can only return to their homes after the lockdown period which is on Oct.5, Angeles said.

As of Sept. 20, this town recorded five new cases with a total of 104 active cases, seven recoveries and zero new deaths.
