Ecija man shot dead by unidentified companion
CABIAO, Nueva Ecija — A 55-year-old man was gunned down by his unidentified companion for still unknown reasons, police said on Tuesday.
Killed was Anselmo Fernandez, of Purok 5, Bgy. San Roque, this town.
Investigation showed the shooting occurred in Sitio Pala-pala, Bgy. San Fernando Sur here at 11:30 a.m. last Monday.
Police said the victim and the suspect went to the area and after arriving there, the latter suddenly shot the former for still unknown reasons and fled towards Bgy. Mangga in nearby San Isidro town.
Police Major Jeffrey S. Alivia, town police head said they are still clueless about the motive behind the killing.
