JAEN, Nueva Ecija – A local Korean food mart was robbed at gunpoint by two unidentified motorcycle-riding men, who carted away some P5,000 in cash, P1,100 worth of cigarettes and a P150 bottle of gin during Sunday night here.

Robbed was the Danugan’s Korean Food Mart along the Jaen-Zaragosa Road in Purok 7, Sitio Gubat na Munti, Bgy. Putlod, owned by businesswoman Aileen Javate, 35.

Provincial police director Col. Jaime O. Santos said the heist was perpetrated by two suspects on board a black Honda TMX 125 motorcycle, who parked their vehicle in front, casually entered the store and pretended to be customers at 7:40 p.m.

The duo approached the cashier, Javate’s daughter Angela Nicole Cabrera, 15, poked a gun at her and declared a holdup.

Santos said they are investigating the robbery by reviewing CCTV footages in the area for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
