CABANATUAN CITY — Just like in 2020, all private and public cemeteries and columbariums are ordered temporarily closed by the Nueva Ecija Inter-Agency Task Force for seven days from October 29 until November 4.

The NE-IATF headed by Gov. Aurelio M. Umali also enjoined all 32 local government units in the province to implement measures to ensure that only a 30-percent maximum-venue-capacity is imposed during visits in these areas at any given time before and after the said prohibited dates.

Umali’s order is contained in NE-IATF Resolution No. 7, which was approved on August 1.

The NE-IATF cited that mass overcrowding is a potential scenario during the commemoration of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, hence the need for the issuance of such order to serve as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus and its local transmission.

It earlier reported that active cases for COVID-19 in the province went down from 2,469 cases to 2,254 while recovered cases rose to 22,354, as of October 13.
