Ecija farmer killed by RIT
ALIAGA, Nueva Ecija – A 41-year-old farmer was shot dead while driving a tricycle with two friends on board as passengers here, early Sunday morning.
Police identified the fatality as Alvin Derone, of Bgy. Bibiclat, this town.
The gun attack occurred while the victim was on their way home in Bgy. San Felipe Matanda at 3:30 a.m. here.
Police said the victim was with two friends seated at the sidecar when he was shot. The duo was identified as Michael Diaz and Louie Trinidad.
Probers said the slain victim was previously charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
