Ecija cops raid “pusoy” joint, collar 4 suspects
SAN JOSE CITY – Police raided an illegal gambling joint in this city and nabbed four personalities involved in the operations, authorities reported Wednesday.
City police head Lt. Col. Criselda Y. De Guzman said her men arrested the alleged maintainer identified as Marcelo Zabal, 47, and three others – Micmar John Calano, single, tattoo artist, Mary Jane Torio, 37, and Rochelle Torio, 38, single, jobless, all of Zone 6, Bgy. Sibut.
De Guzman said the suspects were caught playing the illegal card game “pusoy” at around 3:45 p.m.
Seized were a deck of playing cards, some P340 in bet money as well as the table and chairs used in the illegal gambling operation.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 were slapped against the suspects.
