Ecija cops disarm grenade found in drainage line
STO. DOMINGO, Nueva Ecija — Nueva Ecija bomb and explosive experts disarmed a grenade which was accidentally dug up by two laborers doing dredging activities along a drainage system here on Tuesday.
Police said Alfred Moises, 24, and Vincent Lictawa, 21, both of Bgy. Singalat, Palayan City, and employed as laborers at Mivico Builders excavated the explosive while dredging the sewer line of barangay Sto. Rosario at 3 p.m.
Police officer-on-case SSgt. Mark Anthony Limban said the area was immediately cordoned off as members of the Explosive and Ordnance-K9 Division of the Nueva Ecija police provincial office arrived to disarm the explosive.
