Ecija cops collar HVT drug ‘peddler’ for P394K shabu
SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ – Police here nabbed a 22-year-old man and motorcyclist from Metro Manila for selling shabu worth P17,000 apart from another 8 plastic sachets of illegal drugs worth about P400,000 during a buy-bust operation on Friday night.
In a report to Col. Jess B. Mendez, provincial top cop, Lt. Col. Marlon M. Cudal identified the arrested suspect as Aaron Celestino, single, of Maypajo, Caloocan City.
Cudal said the arrested suspect, who drove here from Caloocan City aboard a black Yamaha NMAX motorcycle, is classified as a high-value target (HVT) in illegal drugs and was caught possessing shabu more than the 50-gram limit at 58 grams.
Lt. Col. Cudal and his men busted the suspect after selling a plastic sachet of shabu worth P17,000 in Bgy. Bantug at 6:30 p.m.
Police operatives also recovered from the suspect some 16 pieces of P1,000 boodle money and genuine P1,000, plus a coin purse containing 8 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 58 grams worth about P394,400.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being readied for filing against the suspect before the city prosecutor’s office here.
