A lawmaker lauded Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez for his ‘consistent’ high approval ratings in the recent surveys.

Aklan Rep. Teodorico Haresco Jr., House vice chairman committee on appropriations, said that the consistently high approval ratings of Speaker Romualdez is proof of his proven and dynamic leadership as Speaker of the House of Representatives and as public servant.

The satisfactory ratings of Romualdez was up by 60 percent according to the results of the Pulso ng Pilipino tracking survey of The Issues and Advocacy Center (The CENTER) conducted from September 23 to 30, released over the weekend.

In another survey conducted by OCTA Research last July 22-26, Romualdez had 54 percent trust approval ratings.

“He has always been a reliable servant-leader to the people; quick to respond to the needs of every legislative district, especially during emergencies,” Haresco said.

The veteran solon also mentioned how the Speaker immediately provided assistance during the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Paeng which resulted to more than P1 billion in damage and 36 recorded deaths in Western Visayas last November 2022.

“The province of Aklan alone has witnessed his love and dedication to serve the Filipio people coupled with his decisive actions. When Typhoon Paeng struck our provinces, the Speaker has immediately sent aid within hours,” the solon added.

Haresco said that Romualdez has been a “reliable ally to Aklan”, providing immediate aid during the recent calamities of red tide and African Swine Fever outbreaks that affected the province.

“We are extremely grateful to the compassion and generosity that the Speaker has extended to our province. I am confident that with his strong-willed and effective leadership in the House of Representatives, more Filipino families will benefit greatly,” Haresco added.
