PRESIDENT Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte still topped the trust rating among the country’s five highest officials after scoring a 52.9% in the latest Publicus Asia Inc. survey while Speaker Lord Allan Velasco was at the fifth spot with 12.1%.

President Duterte also scored the highest 59.8% approval rating, followed by 33.9% of Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, 31.3% of Vice President Leni Robredo, 24.2% of Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo and Velasco’s 23.9%.

In the same non-commissioned Publicus Asia Inc. survey conducted on October 11-18, 2021 with 1,500 respondents, Robredo placed second with her 22.1% trust rating followed by Sotto’s 19.8% and 14.6% of Gesmundo.

The Chief Executive continues to lead the approval and trust ratings of top five government officials less than a year before he steps down from power on June 30, 2022.

While he did not file his certificates of candidacy (COC) for any position, President Duterte is still being considered one of the strongest candidates in the vice presidential race.

During the July 13-19, 2021 Publicus Asia Inc. survey, President Duterte registered the highest 57.93% approval rating followed by Sotto’s 38.13%, 32.27% of Robredo, 26% of Gesmundo, and 24.37% of Velasco.

For trust rating, President Duterte got 50.4% for the top spot followed by 23.53% of Robredo, 22.8% of Sotto, 14.93% of Gesmundo and 13.93% of Velasco.

Based on the March 20 to 29, 2021 survey of Publicus Asia Inc., President Duterte is still the number one performing official with his 64.87% approval rating.

Sotto came next with 40%, Roberedo’s 29.13%, 28.47% of former Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta’s 29.13%, and 25.4% of Velasco.

President Duterte also got the highest trust rating with 55.13% compared to 24.6% of Sotto, 18.67% of Robredo, 15% of Peralta, and 14.53% of Velasco.

In the Publicus Asia Inc. survey conducted from December 3 to 9, 2020, President Duterte got 69.9% approval rating followed by Sotto’s 46.9%, 34.7% of Robredo, 30.7% of Peralta, and 29.7% of Velasco.

President Duterte emerged topnotcher with 62.3% trust rating while Sotto came next with 30%, 23.3% of Robredo, 18.5% of Peralta, and 18.1% of Velasco.
