GUIMBA, Nueva Ecija — A total of P36.396-million ayuda will soon be distributed to Novo Ecijano farmers here through the initiative of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go and the help of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.
The municipal government led by Mayor Jose “Boyong-Boyong” R. Dizon said 12,132 farmers from the town are set to receive P3,000 cash assistance each as beneficiaries of the national government’s AHON (Aid and Humanitarian Operations Nationwide) Convergence Program (CP).
AHON CP is an inter-agency initiative designed to pour necessary aid to the most-affected communities in times of calamities and emergencies, including the pandemic. The program is pursuant to Executive Order No. 137 signed by the President on May 24, 2021, which accelerates and harmonizes aid and humanitarian operations of the national government during disasters and emergencies.
On its Facebook page, Dizon said the distribution of the AHON-CP payout will start on Monday, August 23 until Friday, August 27.
“Tayo ay mapalad naman na napagbigyan sa ating kahilingan at ito ngang papasok na linggo ay bababa sa ating bayan ang Tanggapan nina Senator Bong Go at Pangulong Duterte, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agriculture, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Department of Labor and Employment at iba pang ahensiya ng gobyerno upang magkaloob ng cash assistance at marami pang ibang tulong sa ating mga magsasaka,” said the municipality of Guimba in its FB page posted on Saturday night.
It was learned that beneficiaries of the program are those identified through the DA’s Registered System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA).
“Tunay na mapalad tayo at dapat lamang na ipagpasalamat ng ating Bayan ang biyayang ito sapagkat ang ating bayan pa lamang ang napagkalooban ng ganito kalaking bilang ng benepisyaryo sa ilalim ng AHON-CP ng pamahalaan,” said Mayor Dizon.
