Drug trafficking suspect shot dead in encounter
SCIENCE CITY OF MUŇOZ — It was the end of the road for a suspected drug trafficker who was shot dead after figuring in an armed encounter with the police during a buy-bust operation on Monday here.
Killed was Christian June Hizon, of Bgy. Daang Sarile, Cabanatuan City. City police head Lt. Col. Marlon M. Cudal said the firefight occurred in Bgy. Maligaya at 12:30 a.m. after the suspect allegedly turned hostile during the drug deal.
Cudal said undercover lawmen led by SSg. Danilo Gabay neutralized the suspect when the latter suddenly drew his gun and fired at them.
Seized during the operation were seven plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 2.5 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board-value of P16,750.
Also recovered at the crime scene were the suspect’s cal. 45 pistol with six bullets, six spent shells of cal.9mm and his black sling bag.
