Drug suspect collared for P148K shabu in Cabanatuan
CABANATUAN CITY – Police busted a truck driver who yielded almost P150,000 worth of shabu after initially selling a P500-worth of the illegal drug to a police poseur buyer here shortly after Wednesday midnight.
City police head Lt. Col. Carl Omar Fiel said the suspect with the alias “Bukol”, from Purok 4, Bgy. Obrero, this city, was captured in a buy-bust operation at the same barangay at 12:30 a.m.
Also seized from the suspect were eight plastic sachets of shabu, weighing about 21.88 grams with an estimated DDB (Dangerous Drugs Board) value of P148,784.
Fiel said the suspect is now under detention, facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 before the City Prosecutor’s Office here.
