Drug pusher yields P420K in Tarlac sting

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A 49-year-old suspected drug peddler on Tuesday was arrested for possession of shabu worth P420,000.

Tarlac police director Col. Renante Cabico said PDEA-Tarlac and local operatives conducted an entrapment operation against Cherry Cardenio, 49, on Road 2, San Sebastian Heights Subd. Bgy. San Vicente, Tarlac City.

Confiscated from Cardenio were 13 plastic sachets of shabu weighing at least 62 grams valued at P421,600; five P1,000 marked-money; a digital weighing scale; and a cellular phone.

Charges for violation RA 9165 are being readied against the suspect.

‘We are relentless in our campaign against illegal drugs and we will keep on conducting anti-drug operations to stop its proliferation, may this serve as a warning to those who are still involved in illegal drug trade and illegal activities,” said PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon.
