Drivers in QC traffic incident to file charges vs each other

QUEZON City Police District (QCPD) Director Police Brigadier General Redrico A Maranan said the two drivers involved in a traffic incident in the city last September 7 will file criminal charges against each other.

According to the report, at 11:40 AM of September 7, 2023, parties involved were travelling along EDSA northbound towards Kamias Road.

Upon reaching in front of Baliwag Bus Terminal, Brgy. E. Rodriguez, Quezon City, the right front side of a bus driven by Rolly Torres, 47, of No. 5-B7, Brgy. San Juan, Baras, Rizal hit the left side of an ambulance driven by Oliver Subaran, 46, of Purok 6, Brgy. Carbonel, Gerona, Tarlac.

Due to impact, the ambulance moved forward and hit the right front portion of the bus towards the concrete barriers of the Metro Manila Development Authority.

As a result, Subaran sustained injuries and was immediately rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center for treatment.

The QCPD is conducting investigation on the incident while both parties were advised to secure all the necessary documents for filing of appropriate charges.

Maranan said: “Pinaaalalahanan ko ang publiko na sumunod sa lahat ng batas trapiko para maiwasan ang aksidente sa kalsada.”
