Dragons crush Warriors in PBA

WITH veteran Myles Powell back, there’s no stopping the Bay Area Dragons.

Powell scored 36 points, including 24 in the first two quarters, to lead the Dragons to a convincing 118-98 victory over NLEX Road Warriors in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 25-year-old Powell, who played for NCAA Division I team Seton Hall during college from 2016-2020, went 13-of-23 in only 36 minutes on the floor as the Dragons improved to 8-2 overall with their second straight win.

Five oither players scored in double figures for Bay Area, which is gunning for a top two finish and a win-one advantage over their lower-ranked quarterfinal opponent.

Glen Yang added 15 points, five rebounds and five assists, Hayden Joel Blankley contributed a double-double of 13 points, 14 rebounds and six assists, Kobey Lam had 12 points and six rebounds, and Mingxin Ju and Chuanxing Liu had 11 points each for the Dragons.

Earl Clark carried the fight with 17 points, 11 rebounds and five assists for NLEX which dropped to 3-6.

Clark was supported by Justine Chua (15 points, nine rebounds), Don Trollano ( 15 points, four rebounds), Bfrandon Ganuelas-Rosser (12 points, eight rebounds), Kris Rosales ( 12 points, four rebounds) and Kevin Alas (10 ponts)
