HINDI malayo na makasama si Bea Alonzo sa engrandeng pa-tribute ng Gabay Guro para sa mga makabagong bayani ng Covid-19 pandemic, lalo pa’t isa sa hosts ngayong taon ang BF niyang si Dominic Roque.

Present si Dominic sa virtual mediacon kahapon para sa PLDT Smart Foundation’s 2021 Grand Gathering for Teachers na may theme na “Guro sa Gitna ng Pandemya: Heroes for Digital Transformation,” kasama ang isa sa co-hosts niyang si Pops Fernandez.

Kwento ni Chaye Cabal-Revilla, Gabay Guro chairperson at chief finance officer and chief sustainability officer ng Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), matagal nang volunteer ng taunang proyekto ang aktor.

Kaya naman natanong ang aktor ng press kung posible bang karayin niya si Bea na sinagot naman ni Dominic ng oo.

Anyway, siniguro ni Chaye na kakaiba ang gagawing live streaming bukas, October 2, dahil sangkaterbang mga sikat na artista’t performer ang nasa line-up.

Magsasama-sama sa halos dalawang oras na pagtatanghal ang naglalakihang mga bituin, sa pangunguna ng hosts na sina Pops, Dominic, Iza Calzado, Derek Ramsay at Atom Araullo.

Ang mga bigating performer naman ay kinabibilangan nina Sharon Cuneta, Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Kuh Ledesma, Basil Valdez at Jose Mari Chan.

Magpapakitang-gilas din sa iba’t ibang production numbers sina Quest, Sam Concepcion, Rayver Cruz, Elmo Magalona, Nyoy Volante, Bugoy, Davey Langit, Erik Santos, Jed Madela, The Itchyworms, Randy Santiago, Mark Bautista, Jeremy Glinoga, Jason Dy, Poppert Bernales, Christian Bautista, Janine Tenoso, Barbie Almalbis, Ice Seguerra, Yeng Constantino at marami pang iba.

At dahil digital ang pagtatanghal, tinatayang mahigit 500,000 teachers nationwide ang maaaring dumalo at lumahok sa Grand Gathering.

Kailangan lang nilang mag-download ng Gabay Guro Super App at mag-register para na rin sa tsansang magwagi ng iba’t ibang papremyo tulad ng kotseng Chery Tiggo at cash prizes na tig-P500,000.

Taong 2007 pa isinusulong ng Gabay Guro ang core pillars na Classroom Donations, Connectivity and Computerization, Scholarships, Teachers’ Trainings, Livelihood Projects, Digital Innovation, at Teacher’s Tribute.

Nakapag-donate na ito ng higit sa 55 double classrooms sa 18 cities and municipalities nationwide, 1,988 scholarship grants kung saan 1,063 na ang nakapagtapos at nakapag-distribute na ng mahigit 500 computers/laptops sa 16 municipalities sa iba’t ibang parte ng bansa.

May 60,000 teachers na rin ang na-train sa face-to-face set-up sa 90 cities and provinces at mahigit 500,000 teachers ang na-train digitally sa Gabay Guro’s Teachers’ Training’s “Learning Never Stops” digital series.

Nu’ng isang taon, nanguna naman ang Gabay Guro Super App sa pag-empower sa mga teacher para sa digital transformation.
