THE Tanauan City Government received an award from the Department of Health (DOH) Regional Office IV-A for its successful implementation of the program for comprehensive vaccination against COVID-19 in the City.
At the “Golden Jab Awards” held recently at Novotel-Manila, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City, the Tanauan City Government received the award for “City with highest vaccination coverage C.Y. 2021” and “City who reached 70% Target Population C.Y. 2021” under the “Great Jab Awards”.
The city was also honored for “LGUs with Best Practices Demand Generation and Communications Strategy during the National Vaccination Days 1 & 2”.
City Mayor Mary Angeline “Sweet” Halili personally accepted the award along with Officer-in-Charge (OIC) City Administrator Rizaldrin Epimaco B. Magpantay, and acting City Health Officer Dra. Imelda Bautista.
The DOH’s Great Jab Awards aims to recognize the sponsors of the “Bayanihan Bakunahan” held under the National Vaccination Days last year.
