Discaya’s vow: No poor family will be left behind
MAYORALTY frontrunner candidate Sara Discaya said that corruption extends beyond the mere misallocation of resources but it also involves failing to deliver essential services to the populace and disregarding the genuine needs of impoverished communities.
“The failure to execute projects intended for the benefit of the community, including the establishment of a hospital, the rollout of a housing program, the provision of free education, job creation, and the development of infrastructure, is a significant concern,” Discaya said.
“Corruption is the non-implementation of humanitarian programs such as building a hospital, fixing classrooms, providing proper and cheap housing and financial assistance to the poor, she said.
The successful businesswoman turned politician said Pasig City boasts a substantial annual budget of P17.2 billion, which can be used for various initiatives, including the renovation of schools, the construction of a hospital for underprivileged residents, the procurement of medicines, and other community-focused projects.
Discaya said vowed corruption will not take place under her tenure, emphasizing that what is provided to the community must be fulfilled.
She vowed not to leave behind the poor family.
“It is time to move beyond superficial trends. The influence of celebrities and TikTok effects is undeniable. A leader’s authenticity is demonstrated through their commitment to service,” Discaya said.
