DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — Despite the restrictions being imposed in Bataan, the province logged 24,343 COVID-19 cases.

This development came after this town was placed last Sept. 18 under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine with heightened restrictions amid the spike of COVID cases with Bataan logging 888 deaths.

In a statement, Mayor Gila S. Garcia reported that based on Municipal IATF Resolution No 09-001 Series of 2021, “the town of Dinalupihan is placed under MECQ with HEIGHTENED RESTRICTIONS from 18-30 September, 2021.”

In a related development, Gov. Abet S Garcia also reported that Bataan’s COVID death toll has reached 888 as of Sept. 18 while the total number of infected patients reached 24,343 with 19,708 recoveries.

Garcia said Balanga registered the highest number of infected patients with 840 while Dinalupihan has 766.
