DILG’s no. 6 MWP falls in Bulacan
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – One of DILG’s (Department of the Interior and Local Government) most wanted persons (MWPs) on the national level was arrested over the weekend in Pulilan, Bulacan.
PRO 3 (Police Regional Office 3) Director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay identified the suspect as Edison Umpad, the no. 6 most wanted and a resident of Bgy. Poblacion, Pulilan, Bulacan.
Umapad was arrested by operatives of Bulacan PHPT together with 301st MC, RHPU3 Intelligence Section, Calumpit MPS, and Bulacan 2nd PMFC based on a warrant for violation of RA 6539 or Anti-Carnapping Law.
Baccay lauded the operating troops for a job well done and vowed that the continuous arrest of persons sought by law only proves that Central Luzon is no “safe haven” for criminals.
