DHSUD leads creation of Marawi Compensation Board
TO jumpstart the implementation of the recently enacted Marawi Siege Compensation Act, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Eduardo Del Rosario called for an Executive Committee meeting at the Central Office boardroom for the establishment and operationalization of the Marawi Compensation Board (MCB) on Monday.
Republic Act (RA) 11696, or the Marawi Siege Compensation Act of 2022, mandates the creation of the MCB as an independent and quasi-judicial body primarily to receive, evaluate, process and investigate applications for claims under the law to award compensation as warranted. By Jun I. Legaspi
