Detained couple served arrest warrant for estafa

A COUPLE currently detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Taft Avenue in Ermita, Manila was served with an arrest warrant by the Manila Police District (MPD) in connection with a case of syndicated estafa they are facing.

No bail was recommended for the couple identified as Jachob Rasuman, 37, of Camague Highway, Iligan City and Princess Rasuman, 41, of No. 0109 Noria Pala – O Ubaldo Laya, Iligan City.

Based on a report from P/Major Rommel Anicete, chief of the Criminal Investigation Section of the MPD, a police team went to the detention facility of the NBI on Monday, to serve the arrest warrant issued against the couple by Judge Dennis Alcantara, of the 10th Judicial Region, Branch 18 in Cagayan De Oro City, for a case of syndicated estafa.

Meanwhile, P/Major Cicero Pura of the District Special Operation Unit and P/Capt. Jervies Soriano of the District Police Intelligence Operation Unit reported the arrest of Edrin Aranay, 32, of Blk. 37, Lot 26 Villa Elise, Brgy.Masuso, Pandi Bulacan.

Aranay was nabbed by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Jansen Rodriguez of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 6 for a crime of murder which is non-bailable. The suspect was arrested in Barangay Masuso, Pandi, Bulacan.
