A 27-YEAR-OLD resident of Malabon City who posed as a “dentist” and managed to have a sexual tryst with two unsuspecting young patients was arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) for “sextortion” last Friday.

The suspect, alias “Cyan Cyan,” a jobless resident of E. Martin Street in Santulan, Malabon City, is now facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse and Exploitation and Discrimination Act, said PNP-ACG director, Major General Sidney S. Hernia.

According to the official, members of the ACG Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit (WCCPU) under Lieutenant Colonel Herlyn Kristine Lazaro arrested the accused when they raided his residence around 11:30 p.m. Friday on the strength of a warrant to search, seize and examine computer data for violation of Section 5(b) of RA 7610 issued by a local court.

The raid was conducted on the strength of a complaint from two minors identified only as alias “Jun” and “Ian.” The two minors said that the suspect misrepresented himself as a dental professional and later enticed them to have their braces done in exchange for sexual favors.

Unknown to the two, the accused took videos of their explicit act and posted them online.

Recovered during the search were several computer devices and a mobile phone and dental implements used by the suspect to make face braces such as brace wires, dental glue and connectors.

The suspect is now being held at the PNP-ACG headquarters in Camp Crame.
