THE Malayang Quezon City and UniTeam mayoral candidate Mike Defensor and his vice mayoral running mate Winnie Castelo are scheduled to hold a grand proclamation rally Wednesday.

The rally will be held along Batasan Road in Barangay Batasan Hills between 6 and 9 p.m.

Defensor and Castelo said they expect at least 120,000 of their supporters to attend their proclamation.

They said they have invited UniTeam standard-bearer former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (BBM) and his vice presidential teammate Mayor Sara Duterte of Davao City to the event.

“We expect them to be there,” they said.

Last Sunday, Mayor Sara, accompanied by Defensor and Castelo, visited some Quezon City barangays.

At the start of the election campaign in February, UniTeam and Malayang Quezon City candidates held a caravan around the city.

Aside from Defensor and Castelo, Malayang Quezon City coalition candidates for the city’s six legislative districts and the city council will attend tomorrow’s proclamation rally.

The coalition’s congressional candidates are reelectionist lawmakers Onyx Crisologo of the first district, Precious Hipolito Castelo of the second district and Alan Reyes of the third district, Marvin Rillo of the fourth district, Rose Lin of the fifth district, and former Rep. Bingbong Crisologo of the sixth district.

Based on the tracking survey for March of pollster Issues and Advocacy Center, Defensor, Castelo and their congressional candidates were enjoying wide leads over their opponents.

Defensor and Castelo have thanked city residents for their continued support.

They have promised a transparent, honest, proactive, and responsive city government if elected.
