THE Presidential Security Command has been tasked by the Malacañang to look into Vice President Sara Duterte’s threat to assassinate President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

“Acting on the Vice President’s clear and unequivocal statement that she had contracted an assassin to kill the President if an alleged plot against her succeeds, the Executive Secretary has referred this active threat to the Presidential Security Command for immediate proper action,” Presidential Communications Office said in a statement.

This comes after Duterte claimed earlier in contracting an assassin should anything bad happen to her.

“Any threat to the life of the President must always be taken seriously, more so that this threat has been publicly revealed in clear and certain terms,” said the PCO

During the Zoom presser, Duterte said she had already asked someone to go after the President, First Lady Marcos and Speaker Martin Romualdez in case something happens to her.

“Wag kang mag-alala sa security ko kasi may kinausap na ako na tao. Sinabi ko sa kanya, ‘pag pinatay ako, patayin mo si BBM, si Liza Araneta, at si Martin Romualdez,” Duterte said.
