Davao City cops collar wanted drug suspects
THREE top wanted drug suspects in Davao City have been arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by the local police last Tuesday, Philippine National Police Officer-in-Charge (PNP-OIC), Lieutenant General Vicente D. Danao Jr. said yesterday.
Members of Davao City Police Station 16 arrested one suspect who yielded a caliber .38 revolver with two live ammunition and P500 worth of shabu during an entrapment operation in Barangay Maa.
The suspect was also charged with violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013.
The two others included a 7th most wanted drug personality in Southern Mindanao, and his female cohort were arrested in a drug sting in Bgy. 23-C.
Confiscated from the two suspects were an estimated P248,000 worth of shabu, said Lt. Gen. Danao.
All three suspects are facing non-bailable charges for selling and possessing prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“This is definitely a ‘huge’ achievement to neutralize their operation in their area. Congratulations to our personnel for a job well done,” said Lt. Gen. Danao in commending the local police for arresting the three suspects.
