CV drug suspect collared
A TOP drug suspect in Central Visayas (CV) was arrested by the local police in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City, which led to the confiscation of some P7 million worth of shabu, Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) Director Brigadier General Roque Edgardo DP Vega said on Tuesday.
The suspect is a 42-year-old resident of Bgy. Ermita in Cebu City, yielded 25 plastic sachets of shabu worth multi-million peso during a sting conducted by PRO7 operatives, said Vega.
“This confirms that drug trade in Bgy. Ermita still exists, and follow-up operations are made to trace the link of sources of these illegal items,” PNP Officer-in-Charge (PNP-OIC) Lt. Gen. Vicente D. Danao Jr. said.
The suspect now faces non-bailable charges for selling and possessing prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
