THREE top drug targets in Central Visayas were arrested while an estimated 510 grams of shabu worth P3.5 million were seized by agents of the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO 7) in separate buy-bust operations in Mandaue City on Tuesday, PRO7 Director Brigadier General Roderick Augustus B. Alba said Thursday.

According to the official, members of the Mandaue City Police Office headed by Colonel Jeffrey T. Caballes arrested two suspects during a sting in Sitio Logarta Street in Barangay Subangdako around 12:10 a.m. Tuesday.

Recovered from the suspects were 310 grams of the so-called “poor man’s cocaine” worth P2.108 million, the buy-bust money, and a mobile phone they used in making contact with the poseur.

The 3rd suspect was arrested in another buy-bust operation along Quano Avenue around 1:52 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect yielded 200 grams of shabu valued at P1.360 million and the marked money she received from an undercover agent.

Alba lauded the operatives of the Mandaue City Police Office for their latest accomplishment in the Central Visayas police forces’ war on drugs.

“The war on drugs has never stopped. It is aligned with the peace and order security framework of the PNP Chief General Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr. the MKK-K, ‘Malasakit+Kaayusan+Kapayapaan= tungo sa Kaunlaran’ and the Police 4C’s,” he said.

The official said, “Bisdak cops” have been fully driven by the positive feedback on the intensive implementation of the peace and security framework of the PNP leadership.

“Tuloy-tuloy lang tayo. Hindi tayo titigil hangga’t hindi sila nahuhuli. Let us keep our streets safe from these illegal drugs. Let us have a drug-free community. Hindi lang ito laban ng kapulisan, laban natin itong lahat. Kayo ang susi upang makamtan natin ang tahimik at matiwasay na pamumuhay na walang alinlangan at takot,” said Alba.
