Customer kills carinderia owner over shortchange
A CARINDERIA owner was shot dead by his customer for allegedly giving insufficient change in Negros Occidental.
Victim Wilmer Sy, a 32-year-old owner of a carinderia inside the public market in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head and body.
The suspect identified only as alias “Tagalog” fled after the killing.
Witnesses told police that prior to the shooting, the victim and the suspect argued over shortchange after alias “Tagalog” ate at the victim’s food stall.
At the height of the quarrel, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim repeatedly.
“Ang sabi nung nanay ng suspect ay pasaway daw talaga ang anak n’ya. Ayon sa mga nakasaksi, nagtalo raw ang biktima at ang suspect dahil lang sa kulang na sukli,” a prober said.
