THE Civil Service Commission (CSC) will hold an online film showing and zumba session to raise funds for the government workers who died in the line duty.

In partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), the fund-raising activities which are part of CSC’s 121st anniversary in September, are open to all government workers and their family members who are at least 18 years of age.

Registration started Monday and will end on August 13. Participants must register online through bit.ly/PCSAFilmShowing for only P250.

The Zumba session will be held on the first week of September while the film showing will be accessible online thru the FDCP Channel from September 1-12.

According to the CSC, the proceeds of the events will go to the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani (PLBi) program, a special project which honors and recognizes the country’s servant heroes.

The CSC has honored their hard work and sacrifice through the program’s three components: the Pamanang Parangal sa Lingkod Bayani, a posthumous award/citation in the form of a plaque signed by the CSC Chairperson; the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Iskolarsyip, a scholarship program in partnership with the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges offering a discount on tuition fees for three (3) immediate family members; and the Pondong Pamanang Lingkod Bayani, a one-time grant of financial assistance.

As of July 2021, assistance have been provided to 206 PLBi beneficiaries.

The CSC has introduced a 10-year anniversary theme, Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes. The anniversary celebration features a line-up of HR events, special treats, and contests for government workers to spur agility and future-readiness in the public sector. Events for the media and the public will also be launched.
