Crime gang ‘boss’ nabbed in Batangas
THE alleged leader of the Gardiola Crime Group (GCG) was arrested by operatives during the implementation of a search warrant Wednesday in Laurel, Batangas.
Laurel Municipal Police Station Commander Captain Gary Abregunda identified the arrested suspect as Margio Gardiola.
Gardiola who is known as the head of the said group was handcuffed by joint forces of the Laurel MPS, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO), OPD-Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), Regional Special Operations Unit (RSOU), Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 4A, Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU), Batangas in Bgy. Ticub, this town for violation of Republic Act 10591.
Seized from the suspect were a cal. 9mm Beretta, two magazines for cal. 9mm pistol, 27 live ammunition for cal. 9mm, black holster for cal. 9mm pistol one Squires Bingham cal. .38 revolver, one cal. 38 without markings, 11 live ammunition for cal. .38, improvised lighter burner, transparent improvised water pipe, a cigarette pack containing a transparent plastic sachet of suspects shabu, one transparent open plastic sachet containing a green bottle cap with white powdered substance suspected to be shabu, and a digital weighing scale.
