Cops nab widower ranked number 4 MWP in Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY – A 54-year-old man listed as the number four most wanted felon in Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija was arrested by the police during manhunt operations conducted on Friday.

Provincial police director Col. Jaime O. Santos identified the nabbed suspect as Henry Somera, widower, jobless, of Bgy. Dolores, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija.

Santos said the suspect was collared by members of the local police headed by Major Herbert Ocumen at his hideout at 5:35 p.m.

The suspect’s arrest was carried out by virtue of an arrest warrant for violation of Section 10 (A) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act which was issued by Judge Anarica De Jesus Castillo-Reyes of the Regional Trial Court Branch 88, of Baloc, Sto. Domingo on June 29, 2021 with bail recommended at P80,000.

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon commended the Nueva Ecija police for the successful operation.

“Once again I commend the PRO3 men and women for another successful manhunt operation to bring MWPs to the folds of justice and answer their crimes committed. The continuous arrest of wanted persons is also anchored on the Intensified Cleanliness Policy of the Chief PNP, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar,” said De Leon.
