Cops burn marijuana plantation; no one arrested
POLICE on Thursday raided a marijuana plantation site in Tabuk City, Kalinga and burned an estimated P10.5 million worth of fully-grown cannabis plants and seedlings but no one was arrested.
The operation, conducted by members of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group and the Cordillera Police Regional Office, led to the uprooting and burning of more than 50,000 shrubs of marijuana.
PDEG director, Brigadier General Eleazar P. Matta said the secret marijuana plantation site was discovered in Brgy. Nambaran, Tabuk City.
However, no one was arrested during the raid.
