A DISMISSED policeman was nabbed by the operatives of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) RFU4A for killing a colleague during a manhunt operation in Cabuyao City, Laguna.

The suspect was arrested by a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Presiding Judge Eufren F. Changale of Cabarroguis Regional Trial Court Branch 32, with no bail recommended.

He was also named the “most wanted person” of Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A).

An investigation conducted by CIDG RFU4A revealed that the suspect is a former PNP (Philippine National Police) member of Quirino Police Provincial Office (PPO) under Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) and was dismissed from the service after being included in the list of PNP personnel involved in illegal drugs and in the killing of Police Officer 3 Joven Valdez Gabatin on August 17, 2017.

The suspect fled Quirino Province after the incident and went into hiding. However, after almost half a decade of running from the law, he was captured in Cabuyao City.
