Convicted killer among 86 fugitives captured by SPD
A CONVICTED killer in Metro Manila was among the 86 wanted persons in Metro Manila arrested last Friday by agents of the Southern Police District, a report to NCRPO director, Major General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said yesterday.
Identified only thru his alias ‘Padre,’ the 38-year-old man was arrested on the strength of a warrant for service of sentence for a homicide case issued on July 16, 2018 by Judge Mariam Bien of the Taguig City Regional Trial Court Branch 158, said SPD director Brigadier Gen. Leon Victor Z. Rosete.
The official said that members of the Taguig City Police Sub-Station 6 under Colonel Christopher F. Olazo tracked down the convicted felon in his hiding place in Central Signal Village on Friday.
According to Brig. Gen. Rosete, their 26th Warrant Day last Friday resulted in the arrest of 86 wanted individuals, 20 were tagged as Top Most Wanted Persons. The others were 20 Most Wanted Persons while the rest were described as Other Wanted Persons.
Of the 20 TMWPs apprehended, eight were arrested by the Taguig CPS, three each by the Makati, Las Piñas and Parañaque CPS, two by the Muntinlupa CPS, and one by the Pasay CPS.
The 20 MWPs were by SPD tracker teams in the following areas: seven in Pasay; four each in Muntinlupa and Las Piñas, three in Parañaque and one each in Makati City and Pateros municipality.
On the other hand, Other Wanted Persons were apprehended by the local police in the following areas: 11 in Parañaque City; eight in Muntinlupa City; six in Taguig City and five in Makati City.
