Company driver drowns while swimming off Nasugbu beach
A 37-YEAR-OLD company driver drowned while swimming at the beach with a co-worker in Barangay Bucana, Nasugbu, Batangas, Tuesday.
Police said the fatality was a company driver of a tile center and a resident of Barangay San Pedro, Hermosa, Bataan.
A resident of the said barangay reported the incident to the police at 8:45 a.m. (December 13).
Initial investigation showed that at about 7:30 in the morning, the victim, together with his co-worker, were seen enjoying swimming at the beach of Bgy. Bucana.
Unfortunately, due to the strong current, the man was pulled into the deep portion of the seawater.
In that commotion, a civilian rescuer immediately responded and was able to recover the unconscious man; then rushed to Jabez Medical Center, but then he was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Marivic Casiw.
A police investigation is ongoing.
