ELEVEN thoroughbreds will test their mettle against each other as the 2022 Philracom Ambassador Eduardo M. Cojuangco Jr. Memorial Cup gets underway today at the Metro Manila Turf Club in Malvar, Batangas as part of the MARHO Breeders’ Cup Racing Festival.

A true yardstick of speed and stamina, the 2000m race showcases the best imports in the country today led by Righteous Ruby, the most dominating imported horse for the last two years will try for a rare Grand slam ( three consecutive wins) in the Philracom Ambassador Danding Cojuangco Cup.

The Revolutionary out of God Bless Slew progeny bred in Kentucky is expected to bide his time and reveal his vaunted charge in the last 600m of the journey.

Anticipated to join her in the waiting game would be Dragon Butterfly, a New South Wales bred, and Starrininmydreams (Kentucky-bred) which recently won the longest race ever held in the country.

Up for grabs is the top prize of P3-million with a P2-million disparity between first and second place prize money.
