CJ orders closure of SC offices amid COVID-19 spike
CHIEF Justice Alexander Gesmundo on Friday ordered the physical closure of Supreme Court offices – except those offices receiving pleadings, resolution of urgent matters, and cases – from August 2, 2021 to August 20, 2021.
This was after Metro Manila and other parts of the country have been placed under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions, and thereafter, enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to the spread of the feared COVID-19’s Delta variant.
With the order, SC personnel are not required to report for work.
