Civilian tagged in online seller’s kidnap-slay falls

CABANATUAN CITY – Police have arrested in Cagayan province on Tuesday a civilian tagged along with five other Nueva Ecija cops in the kidnap-slay of jewelry online seller Nadia Casar.

Nabbed was Franklin Macapagal, 40, alias Kelly, of Univille Subd., Bgy. Bangad, this city.

Macapagal was collared at 3:45 p.m.during manhunt operations in Bgy. Sampaguita, Solana, Cagayan by joint elements of the Anti-Kidnapping Group, Nueva Ecija police and Solana PNP.

Police served an arrest warrant against Macapagal for violation of Republic Act 9165 issued by a Cabanatuan City local court with bail set at P200,000.

The Cabanatuan City police tagged Macapagal as the city’s number 15 most wanted felon.

Col. Jaime O. Santos, provincial police director, said the arrested suspect has been turned over to the custody of PNP-AKG Capt. Allan Dale Ginez for further investigation.
