CIDG agents collar Quezon dad facing kidnap, rape raps

LUCENA CITY — Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and other police units based in Quezon province arrested on Monday night municipal councilor of Lopez, Quezon who has been charged with kidnapping and serious illegal detention with rape by an 18-year old niece of his live-in-partner.

Quezon police director Col. Joel Villanueva identified the arrested suspect as Municipal Councilor Arkie Manuel Yulde, a resident of Brgy. Burgos in Lopez town.

Villanueva said Yulde was arrested at his house at about 7:30 p.m. by agents of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) under Lt. Col. Ariel Hueca, and elements of Lopez and Catanauan Municipal Police stations, 1st Quezon Provincial Mobile Force Company and Regional Mobile Force Battalion.

He said the arrest was carried out on the strength of two warrants of arrest issued by Judge Roselyn C. Andrada- Borja, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 53 in Rosales, Pangasinan.

Court records showed that Yulde is facing two separate cases for violation of Section 5 (b) Article 111 of Republic Act 7610 docketed under Criminal Case No. 7344-R; and kidnapping and serious illegal detention with rape under Criminal Case No. 7345-R.

Both cases have no recommended bail for Yulde’s provisional liberty.

Yulde will be brought by CIDG agents to Pangasinan where he will be detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Balungao town while his case is being under court trial. By GEMI FORMARAN & ZAIDA DELOS REYES
