CHO dental division to visit schools with LWDs
BATANGAS CITY – The staff of the Dental Division of the City Health Office (CHO) is scheduled to visit various schools in the city with Learners with Disabilities (LWDs) to distribute oral health care packages containing toothbrushes and toothpaste, and conduct dental checkups for February, according to Mayor Beverly Dimacuha.
This is in connection with the celebration of National Oral Health Month with the theme “Strengthening Oral Health for Universal Health Care.”
They will also apply fluoride to the youth of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) centers.
Hygiene items will be distributed to persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in San Jose Sico Jail and to Badjao residents of Barangay Malitam.
There will be an assigned dental bus that is always parked in Batangas City for residents in the Poblacion who have dental problems and need a tooth extraction, Dimacuha said.
